Chief Strategy Officer, fundraising focus

📍 RemoteExecutive LeadershipEquity-based compensation

The Company

attocorp is building the AI agent ecosystem with open-source tools that enable production-ready AI development. We're creating a complete stack: attoeval (open evaluation standards), attograph (agent framework), attotool (developer CLI), atto cloud (enterprise) and attonews (ecosystem capability showcase: AI newsgathering platform). Think LangChain meets OpenCode meets TerminalBench — focused on ecosystem leadership, not competition. We're self-funded and early-stage, with real technical progress and a working product, but we know there's significant hard work ahead. We're seeking seed funding to accelerate our mission of becoming the neutral stewards of AI agent development standards.

The Role

We're seeking a Chief Strategy Officer to lead our fundraising efforts and strategic growth initiatives. This is a foundational leadership role where you'll own our seed round ($1.5M target), build investor relationships, and help shape our go-to-market strategy. You'll work directly with the founding team to craft our narrative, develop realistic financial models, and position attocorp as a compelling AI infrastructure opportunity.

With our technical foundation taking shape and Atto News already demonstrating real-world capabilities, you'll have tangible proof points to share with investors. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution—perfect for someone who understands that building a generational AI infrastructure company requires patience, persistence, and strategic discipline.

We're a remote-first company. You'll have the freedom to shape our strategy while enjoying the benefits of a remote-first team that prioritizes results over hours logged. We're building this the hard way—with focus, iteration, and a commitment to sustainable growth.

Expectations

  • Fundraising Leadership: Lead and close our $1.5M seed round within 4-6 months, building a pipeline of qualified VC conversations and securing first meetings
  • Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive investor materials, go-to-market strategy, and realistic 18-month financial projections within first 30 days
  • Key Deliverables: Create and maintain fundraising tracker, competitive intelligence framework, and lead quarterly strategic planning sessions that translate insights into actionable priorities
  • Relationship Building: Build relationships with AI/ML infrastructure VCs, establish strategic advisory board of industry experts, and represent attocorp as the face of our strategic vision

Requirements

  • 5+ years in VC, investment banking, or startup fundraising with proven seed round leadership experience
  • Strong VC network and relationships with firms investing in AI/ML infrastructure and developer tools
  • Strategic thinking skills with ability to craft authentic narratives and translate complex tech into business value
  • Excellent communication abilities to build investor relationships and navigate fundraising effectively
  • Deep understanding of open-source business models, developer tools markets, and AI infrastructure landscape
  • Comfortable with early-stage uncertainty and willing to take hands-on approach in a remote-first environment

Compensation

  • No salary until seed funding is secured - primary compensation is equity
  • Meaningful equity stake (executive-level ownership in an early-stage opportunity)
  • We'll provide serious compensation for serious results with appropriate incentives tied to fundraising success
